Installation

Download and install SeeleSeek on your Mac. Requires macOS 15 or later.

SeeleSeek requires macOS 15 or later. Check your macOS version in Apple menu → About This Mac before installing.

Install with the signed package (recommended)

The signed .pkg installer is the easiest way to install SeeleSeek. macOS will not show a security warning for signed packages.

1. Download the .pkg installer

   Go to github.com/bretth18/seeleseek/releases and download the latest .pkg file from the Assets section.

2. Open the installer

   Double-click the downloaded .pkg file to launch the macOS installer. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

3. Open SeeleSeek

   Open SeeleSeek from Launchpad or Applications in Finder. The app will launch and show the login screen.

Install from the unsigned zip

If you prefer not to use the installer, an unsigned .zip build is also available on the releases page.

1. Download the .zip archive

   Go to github.com/bretth18/seeleseek/releases and download the latest .zip file from the Assets section.

2. Extract the app

   Double-click the .zip file to extract it. Move SeeleSeek.app to your Applications folder.

3. Approve the app in System Settings

   When you first open SeeleSeek, macOS will block it because it is unsigned. To approve it:

   1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
   2. Scroll down to the Security section.
   3. You will see a message about SeeleSeek being blocked. Click Open Anyway.
   4. Confirm by clicking Open in the dialog that appears.

   You only need to do this once. After approving, SeeleSeek will open normally on subsequent launches.

Uninstallation

1. Quit SeeleSeek

   Choose SeeleSeek → Quit SeeleSeek from the menu bar, or press ⌘Q.

2. Delete the app

   Open Finder → Applications, locate SeeleSeek.app, and drag it to the Trash. Empty the Trash to complete the removal.

SeeleSeek stores your credentials securely in the macOS Keychain and your settings and database in ~/Library/Application Support/SeeleSeek. Removing the app does not delete these automatically. To remove them, use Keychain Access to delete any SeeleSeek entries, and delete ~/Library/Application Support/SeeleSeek.
