Open the Transfers panel with ⌘3 or click Transfers in the sidebar.

Overview

The Transfers panel has two tabs: Downloads and Uploads. Each tab shows all transfers in that direction, their current status, live speed, and progress. Aggregate download and upload speeds are displayed at the bottom of each tab so you can see your total throughput at a glance.

Starting a Download

Files can be queued for download from two places:
  • Search results — right-click a result row (or use selection mode for multiple files) and choose Download.
  • Browse view — right-click a file in a user’s shared library and choose Download.
Once queued, the transfer appears immediately in the Downloads tab.

Transfer Statuses

StatusMeaning
QueuedWaiting for an upload slot on the remote user’s client
WaitingSlot granted; preparing the connection
ConnectingEstablishing the TCP connection to the remote user
TransferringData is actively flowing — live speed shown per-transfer
CompletedFile received and saved to disk
FailedTransfer ended with an error
CancelledManually cancelled by you
If the app quits while a transfer is in the Connecting or Transferring state, SeeleSeek automatically resets it to Queued on next launch so it can be retried.

Transfer Actions

Right-click any transfer row to access actions, or use the toolbar buttons:

Cancel

Stops an in-progress or queued transfer and marks it as cancelled.

Retry

Resets a failed or cancelled transfer back to queued so SeeleSeek will attempt it again.

Remove

Removes the transfer entry from the list entirely.

Clear Completed

Removes all completed transfers from the list in one action.

Clear Failed

Removes all failed and cancelled transfers from the list.

Move to Top / Bottom

Reprioritises a queued download by moving it to the front or back of the queue.
You can also drag-and-drop rows in the Downloads tab to reorder the queue manually.

Speed Display

  • Per-transfer speed is shown inline on each actively transferring row.
  • Aggregate speed (sum of all active transfers) is shown in the panel footer and updates every second.

Transfer History

The History tab (within Transfers) shows a log of completed transfers, including:
  • Date and time of completion
  • Filename and remote username
  • File size
  • Average transfer speed
  • Duration
History is loaded from a local database on launch. You can clear all history from the toolbar.
Audio files in history show a play indicator. Click the row to reveal the file in Finder if it is still present on disk.
